Help Dave Make His Passion a Reality!
Hello to all my friends and family who have made it to this page. I can't thank you all enough for support and encouraging me through all my endeavors in my life. It's because of people like you that I'm able to make this next big step in my life, because I know I can't do it alone, nor would I want to.
One of my main passions in life is performing. I've been doing it for over a decade now and I fell in love with it from the start and now I'd like to take that passion to the next level. As of January 1, 2011 I am going to quit my day job and become a full time performer! I know what a huge step this is and the many risks and hardships that it entails, but I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't at least try. As Theodore Roosevelt said "Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty.."
The way I plan on starting off this journey is through a pledge movement to help me raise the funds I'll need to live off of for the first year so I can concentrate on performing without having to worry about paying bills, losing my house, wondering if me and my dog will be able to eat. I sat down and did the math and figured $10,000 would be enough to cover my monthly bills for 1 year. Of this $10k, I hope to raise $5k of it through pledge donations.
I plan on giving back to the people who are giving to me. That's why with each level of pledge donation I will be offering something to the person donating. The levels are as followed:
- $1 - $10: Name listed on my website thanking you for your support.
- $11 - $24: Name listed with link to own personal or business website.
- $25 - $49: Name listed w/link and DVD of any show I offer.
- $50 - $150: Name listed w/link, DVD, name listed on DVD as a special thank you section
- $151 - $400: All of the above + a 15 Min show performed for your business or personal party. Note: This is for Pittsburgh Area Only. If you are out of Pgh I'd be happy to negotiate for something else.
- $401 - More: Wow if you're able to do this, I can't even begin to thank you enough. You will receive: Name w/link, DVD w/special thank you section, 15 Min performance(in PA, OH, WV, NY) and I will cook you and your family dinner.
Pledge donations will be taken through PayPal and I'll be keeping a tallying on the total collected via a meter on the right side of this page. Even the smallest donation can help. Again it's thanks to friends like you that I'm able to make this next big step in my life and I hope that one day I can repay the favor to you.
